Tales of Laughing Fox is a musical journey of assortments of flutes and stories, using the traditional techniques of the Indigenous people in the most respectful of ways.

Michael Charette is a member of the Red Cliff band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. He also known by the name Baapi Waagosh, meaning “Laughing Fox” in the Anishinaabe language. He grew up and lives on the shores of Gitchi Gami (Lake Superior), and continues to be inspired by her beauty.

Spending a great deal of time playing traditional Native American flute, Laughing Fox has performed all over the country. He has most recently worked together with Big Top Chautauqua in their community connection series which bridges cultural barriers by using traditional dance, music, and art, not only from the Anishinaabe Culture but indigenous cultures from across the world.

Music is a universal language that we all understand and it brings us together.
